The company’s history as a switchgear maker goes all the way back to 1962, when the present owners established Brandtun Elektro. Brandtun Elektro eventually established itself in Matrevik in the municipality of Austrheim. There it began manufacturing electrical and automation panels.
Mongstad Elektro AS was established in 1986, and in 1988 the company moved to Mongstad.
The firm expanded, and its area of business grew to include installation on petrochemical plants, industrial production, construction and ship installations along with switchgear production.
In 2007 the owners decided to split the company into three sister companies, and in 2008 we became Mongstad Elektro - TavleTeknikk AS./p>
The company’s rapid growth between 2005 and 2008 quickly led to a need for larger, more modern and automated facilities, and on 1 May 2009 the company moved into one of Norway’s most modern and automated switchgear factories.
Following the sale of its two sister companies in 2011 the company changed its name to Mongstad TavleTeknikk AS on 1 January 2012.
We now supply electrical and automation panels for all uses in the manufacturing, marine and oil and gas sectors. We offer everything from straightforward switchgear production to complete solutions including installation. We can also provide design, engineering, programming, testing, commissioning and documentation if required.
The company is based in Mongstad, around one hour’s drive north of Bergen, and is currently one of the largest switchgear manufacturers in the county of Hordaland.
Customer satisfaction is our overarching goal. We believe we can achieve this by offering our customers quality, flexibility and not least trust. We want our customers to feel that they got “that little bit extra” that they can’t quite put their finger on.
You are welcome to join us for an informal chat and a guided tour of our modern switchgear factory.
